The SJFWA will be offering a number of classes this year for beginning and more advanced woodworkers. We do not have an education chairman at this time. If you have an interest in guiding our education program, please contact the President.

In early June Jon Grace will teach an introduction stain glass class. Bob Paskwietz will follow-up on his marquetry class with a decorative box making class in July. Finally in September or October we will offer a band saw box class taught by Roger McCoy. We are hoping to add additional classes this year as well as a couple of mini-classes.

There are currently two subgroups: fine woodworking and scroll sawing. These groups meet monthly and are a great way to hone your skills. Membership is required to participate in these groups. It is anticipated that additional sub-groups may be formed.

All classes are open to the general public, but to enroll all students must be a member of the SJFWA and sign an insurance release form. Annual membership fee is $35 ($17.50 after July 1st) and an application can be found elsewhere on this website. Class descriptions, including fees, will be added to this web site as soon as dates and locations are finalized.

Please keep checking this site as we hope to added specific dates, class descriptions and fees. Some classes will be limit the number of students and will be offered on a first-come basis.
